Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. [SET symbol: RATCH] today announces its unreviewed consolidated operating performance of the Company and subsidiaries for the first quarter of 2006 ended March 31, 2006. The Company recorded net profit of 1,933.79 million baht or earning per share at 1.33 baht, decreasing by 215.35 million baht or 10% of the net profit of 2,149.14 million baht or earning per share at 1.48 baht from the same period of 2005.

From May 2006, investing in bonds via cash accounts will no longer entail placing 10% collateral up-front. The Board of Governors (BOG) of The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has resolved to remove this requirement, to increase bond market liquidity.

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (NYSE: ADP) subsidiary ADP Wilco has announced the launch of its SWIFT Service Bureau for banks, brokers, fund managers and any corporate participants in MA-CUGs [Member-Administered Closed User Groups] in the UK. The service provides fast-track access to the SWIFT network for the full range of SWIFT messages including securities, treasury, derivatives, payments and cash management, all in a secure data centre environment.
The service can handle the SWIFT messaging requirements of both buy- and sell-side financial institutions, corporate users and MA-CUGs.

Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) approved the listing of the ABF Thailand Bond Index Fund’s unit trusts, worth THB5.58 billion (USD143 million), Dr. Santi Kiranand, CEO, announced. The fund is under the management of Kasikorn Asset Management Co., Ltd., and their unit trusts will commence trading on April 27, 2006, using “ABFTH” as their trading symbol.
