THAI Provides Ground Handling Services for Cathay Pacific Airways
Apinan Sumanaseni, President, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited chaired the Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony for Ground Handling Services between THAI (TG) and Cathay Pacific (CX), signed by Ms. Quince Chong, Director Service Delivery, Cathay Pacific Airways and Chairman of Hong Kong Airport Services (HAS).

Apinan Sumanaseni, THAI’s President said that THAI’s Ground Customer Services Department has been providing ground handling services for more than 45 years to some of the world’s leading airlines, who have full confidence in the quality of its services. As part of this three years agreement, THAI will be providing ground handling services to Cathay Pacific Airways at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand and Cathay Pacific Airways will provide ground handling services to THAI at Chek Lap Kok Airport in Hong Kong. The agreement includes handling of the following services: 1. Ground Customer Services – Check in, Load Control, Departure Services and lost & found services, etc.
2. Ground Support Equipment Service – ramp service, Aircraft Services, Loading and Unloading, Passenger Transportation, etc. THAI and Cathay Pacific Airways as well as Hong Kong Airport Service (HAS) began their cooperation in October 1989, almost twenty years ago. The agreement will enable both THAI and Cathay Pacific Airways to enhance their services for the increasing number of passengers in this market. Currently, THAI operates 49 flights/week to Hong Kong from Bangkok and Cathay Pacific Airways operates 53 flights/week to Bangkok from Hong Kong.
