Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS), a division of Cendant Corporation (NYSE: CD), and one of the world’s largest and most geographically diverse collections of travel brands and distribution businesses, today announced the signing of a five year agreement with Taiwan’s Eastern Multimedia Group (EMG), a business conglomerate with interests in media, shopping, travel and entertainment.

The agreement provides EMG travel subsidiaries with access to Cendant’s major product lines – the Galileo GDS, Gullivers Travel Associates (gta) and OctopusTravel.com – giving them extended market reach and extensive incremental revenue opportunities.  Through EMG, Cendant’s major travel brands will be offered as ‘one stop shop’ that is expected to help aggressively drive the growth of tourism in the region, while increasing overall awareness of travel opportunities in Taiwan. Under the terms of the agreement, the Galileo GDS will provide EMG with enhanced global distribution and on-line air ticket booking capability for outbound travel; GTA will provide EMG with access to its vast range of leisure and ground service products for outbound travel and OctopusTravel.com will provide EMG with access to online content to reach out to its consumer base in Taiwan.
