Ratchaburi Holding announced its 1st quarter operating performance (unreviewed) of year 2007 with 6% growth of net profit, represent the strength and efficiency of capital investment for business expansion

Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. (RATCH), the leading independent power producer of the country, announced the Company and its subsidiaries’ unreviewed 1st quarter operating performance of year 2007. The Company recorded net profit of Baht 2,049  million  which presented 6% of growth from the same period of last year Mr.

Narong Sitasuwan, Managing Director of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. (the Company) announced that “ the Company’s unreviewed operating performance in the 1st quarter of this year presents the strength of the financial management and efficiency by marking 6% of net profit growth comparing with the same period of last year. The Company recorded net profit of Baht 2,049 million or Baht 1.41 per share that increased from Baht 1,934 million in the 1st quarter of year 2006. Major portion of income the Company earned was from was the income from the Availability Payment (AP) at Baht 3,300 million that increased 7% from the same period of year 2006. The other portion was the profit shared from the joint ventures which increased Baht 65 million or 34% from the same period of prior year.

However, the minor inspection and combustion inspection of Ratchaburi Power Plant 3th-unit during February 17- March 14, 2007 brought some effect to our 1st quarter operating performance in term of the maintenance expense that was higher than the same quarter of last year at  Baht 50 million.” Mr. Narong said With the positive operating performance in the first quarter and the efficiency of financial and capital management, Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL is ready to be one of the IPP bidder with the competitive advantage in all terms and condition for future business expansion.
