Thai bourse to list treasury bills worth THB 60 billion
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has approved new listings on the Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) worth THB 60 billion (about USD 1.78 billion) from the Ministry of Finance (MOF). They will commence trading during July 31 – August 27, 2007.
These issues will lift BEX-listed government bonds to THB 3.183 trillion (about USD 94.17 billion), or 90.02% of the value of all listed bonds.

Hong Kong: HSBC reports pre-tax profit up 52.9% for 2007 interim results
Net operating income before loan impairment charges and other credit risk provisions up 35.7 per cent to HK$60,177 million (HK$44,353 million in the first half of 2006).
Pre-tax profit up 52.9 per cent to HK$39,003 million (HK$25,516 million in the first half of 2006).

Moody’s upgrades CITIC Bank; CITIC group on review for possible upgrade
Moody’s Investors Service upgraded China CITIC Bank’s bank financial strength rating (BFSR) to D from D-. At the same time, Moody’s upgraded the bank’s long-term and short-term deposit
ratings to Baa2/P-2 from Baa3/P-3. The outlook for all ratings is stable.
