Thai bourse aligns its fund disclosure requirements with those of SEC
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will modify its disclosure requirements for mutual funds to correspond with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s criteria, reducing the funds’ expenses while still ensuring adequate information disclosure to investors.
Currently, the requirements for information disclosure by listed mutual funds are similar to those of listed companies.
However the funds have to comply with the SEC’s rules, which, while aiming to achieve the same objective as SET’s regulations, do operate differently.
